Kakai
If you love snacking on raw or roasted pumpkin seeds, you have to try this one. The kakai pumpkin features “naked” seeds, meaning no tough outer hull, making them ideal for snacking. Kakai Pumpkin is one of our favourite heirloom varieties. It’s a pumpkin that has been bred for its seeds, and not for the flesh (we feed it to our chickens). Kakai is considered semi-bush and produces a 5-8 pound pumpkin.
