Cilantro – Pokey Jo

This is a standout for fresh flavour. We go through a lot of cilantro and we plant it in succession to enjoy it throughout the summer. It does very well when we preserve it in salsas. We also dry it in the dehydrator and use it in soups in the winter.

Cilantro grows best in full sun with regular watering and well-drained soil. It’s nicely bushy and fairly bolt-resistant. When it flowers, it attracts beneficial insects, and the seeds can be harvested as coriander. Tolerates light frost.
