Sweet and juicy, Sugar Baby watermelon is a classic heirloom variety introduced in 1959. The fruit is round and about 18 cm (7”) in diameter, with a thin, hard rind that darkens to nearly black at maturity. The firm, orange-red flesh is exceptionally sweet, with small, apple-like seeds. Sugar Baby watermelons can be grown on the ground or trained up a trellis.

It matures in just 76 days. For best results, provide plenty of heat and grow in fertile soil with consistent moisture until fruit sets. Perfect for fresh eating. A farm favourite!
